In winter the McBride area becomes a center for Snowmobilers offering a large choice of local trails to the high back country for some of the best wilderness in the Canadian Rockies. The Robson Valley has great opportunities for both Downhill and Cross Country Skiing, plus the added excitement of Heli Skiing. In the Summer there are wonderfully spectacular Hiking, Horseback Riding, and ATV trails in surrounding area and in the nearby parks. For the more adventurous there is Rock and Mountain Climbing. In the mountains just above the village of McBride there are excellent opportunities for Hang-Gliding, or Paragliding attracting enthusiasts from around the world. The Robson Valley also has magnificent lakes and rivers for White-water Rafting, Fishing and Canoeing. |
